Welcome to one of West Virginia’s “Most Successful” Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Submission Wrestling and Mixed Martial Arts schools!  Beckley MMA is a full fledged Brazilian Jiu Jitsu academy under Jorge Gurgel.  Besides Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, we also cross-train in Judo, Boxing, Submission Wrestling & Street Fighting Concepts.  This type of cross-training has allowed our students to note only have a basic understading of how to overcome any tupe of “real fighting situation”, but to compete at a very high level in both Grappling and Fighting competitions!

We are located in the Raleigh Mall next to Elder Beerman inside of Family Martial Arts.  Come on in and try us out, we will give you the first group class session absolutely free.

    i have been wanting to get in mma for a long time i wana go pro but need more training i wana be in the ufc some day but right now im only able to do like back yard mma with friends i need pros to train me to my full patintsholl im 210 punds a great wrestler good on ground game have alot of power just needing to get a start will this gym give me everything i need and give me the push i need to b the best??

    Hello! I plan on applying to the West Virginia State Police Academy in a year and after looking over the requirements and suggestions I would like to learn some hand-on-hand combat techniques and other forms of self defense.
